I think sometimes the idea of retreat becomes very monastic. I'm alone. Everything else is boxed out. It could be that, but it doesn't have to be that. And we can be okay with looking at our temperaments and our desires on a retreat. We talked about taking walks and spending time, good conversational time with friends. The thing too is fiction, like I, on the retreats that has gone well, I'll read religious fiction.
