The Effect of Gravity on the Earth
With every object like the sun or the earth, there is the effect of gravity that is reaching out from that world or star. And as objects get closer and closer to the sun, then the force the gravitational force on the front side of that object is so much stronger than the gravitational force in the other direction. So if you get an object too close to that body, then it will pop itself in half.
