Editing a Movie in a Virtual Camera
"We have 16 camera operators that use HD with long zoom lenses to shoot close ups and body reference shots of everybody in a scene during a capture moment," he says. "And then we're working with these reference video guys, not anything that is ever used in the movie." It's kind of a picture-in-picture process. The editors divide up the work. So I'll work with the editor for a given scene. We go through the dailies, which are all the performance reference cameras. And so far, literally we don't have any dailies yet to actually start cutting the movie.
