We need to bury this idea of feeling ashamed or embarrassed if we ask for help. We say excuse me to get their attention and that also sounds quite polite. They're more likely to respond in a positive way if you start by saying excuse me. Obviously the tone helps as well. A nice tone, excuse me, kind of rising intonation. Excuse me. You know that's something. The sum of all the parts comes together and it becomes something meaningful.
