The Effects of Food Calls on Chimpanzees

Back in the 1960s scientists were focused on trying to teach chimpanzees our own language. The result of that failure led scientists to really feel that vocalizations in primates are quite emotional. So there's been a long standing assumption that actually there's this massive difference between how we use language as humans and animals including chimps.
