The Twang of a Poem

I love that quote from Jai Poetik. He says, language is culture and culture changes, which means language changes. And if the language is not evolving, it is because the culture is dead. Like Latin or something like that. I mean, there's so again, you know, I grew up far from here. Obviously, for that reason, I didn't grow up around African American vernacular. There are some things that just strike me extra because they also make me think of like other languages.
