The Edifice Complex in Freud's Writings
The edifice complex is I think if you ask a random person on the street about Freud, they'll probably say something like id, ego, super ego and edifice. So it's pretty striking that there is no one like systematic article or book where Freud is like, here it is. You actually have to kind of hunt for it in Freud's actual writings. This may or may not be because he is clearly working out his own family drama. He's not speculation. The first time that we see the even a hint of the edificate of edifice at all.
