In the sixth century, an irish monk named colunkill snuck into his library at night and copied a book. His host found out,. and said, you stole my book. And he said, no, i made a copy of the book. It's mine. And it went to the king for a decision, and the king ruled that just as the calf isis the son of the cow, so is the calf book  the son of thecow book. The book is not yours, calnkill. It belongs to your host. And that was essentially the first copyright battle in history.
