Mutation is meaning that one of s cuts can happen more easily. This means that the virus can get into other cells more quickly. Other karonas virus variants which have this same mutation haven't taken off in quite the same way as delta. They think are probably other mutations, maybe to the spike protein, maybe to completely other proteins, which just haven't been studied as well.
