Why Did You and Not Another?
We don't believe that god has to effectually cause people to use his gift rightly in order for him to get all the credit for giving gifts. That's the mistake of the calvinistic reading. A repentant person is no more deserving of salvation than an unrepentant person. If it were, then there would be no need for the cross.
