Neo4j: A Backing Storage System for a Data Catalog
Amundsen is an open source project that we created at Lyft. It uses Neo4j in the back. And it made sense because we thought of all the metadata that we were storing as a graph. We could store that there and we could have a graph stored in an RDBMS, but there are certain styles of traversal patterns which will not perform very well in the database.
