The Metaphysics of Lonergan

I don't think that the structures of cognition have to be isomorphic with the structures of reality. We can just say that the categories of cognition disclose being to us and the being that's disclosed can be interrogated for its metaphysical structures. That's it. Thick essence is thin active existence rather than the reverse. And now that's consistent with Lonergan's isomorphism view, but it's not consistent with the thymistic view.
