Should You Test the Radial Nerve?
Pain distribution in the upper limb is not really that much of a guide as to where your problem is coming from. But it does give you some information as to potential tests that you should do. If you had lateral foot pain following an ankle sprain and you also had pain radiating up the lateral aspect of the leg towards the fibula, then I think it would alert you to the possibility of perhaps some peripheral nerve involvement of the common perineal, common fibular nerve.
