The Stress of COVID
The stay at home order was instituted in March 2020. "I grew up with like these beliefs, like I'm not important," she says of her upbringing. The one thing that was open during COVID was the ocean because the state doesn't have jurisdiction to close the ocean. She had taken surfing lessons a summer before, but didn't know how to surf.
