COVID - The Death Toll in China
A health informatics company based out of the UK projected almost 19,000 people were dying each day from COVID in China. The highest daily average of deaths reported worldwide was 14,700 in January of 2021. Around that same time, the US was reporting a record high death toll, which reached 3,310. If there is anything that might bear some semblance of the silver lining in this situation, it's that no new highly divergent variants have cropped up in China.
