The Importance of Studying Science in High School
I think one of the worst questions we can ask kids is what are you going to do when you grow up. I was asked personally, people would ask me, what are you Going To Do? Well, I'll get a degree in science. So I thought, well, I should at least study what I enjoy learning about. And then it wasn't long before I realized I really had an interest in astronomy. In the 21st century, there's going to be two very hot sciences. One of them is going to be genetics and the other one is going to being astronomy. And I'd like to teach one of those. It's been 20 years since I developed this course.
