In order to get there to this place of confident humility, we need to modify our attachments. How do we do that? I think it's hard. Honestly, I'm not sure I know. I have some hunches, hypotheses waiting to be tested. My old self doesn't reflect on my current self completely. It's a shadow. The other way is that he wasn't yet prepared to take on this problem.
