The Impact of Agri-Tourism on the Rural Economy

In Scotland, the government has an Agri-tourism strategy. It aims to double the number of farms offering food and drink as part of stay. Caroline Miller is a farmer and the sector lead for the industry body Scottish Agri-TOURISM. In 2012 she was awarded a Nuffield Farming Scholarship which allowed her to study in 10 countries. She spent five weeks in Tuscany where she learned about agriculture's impact on rural economy.
