The Science of Attribution
The absence of drought may be more of an anomaly than the drought. The combination of duration and intensity of heatwave would not have occurred in Northern Europe without global warming due to mankind. We can quantify the probability using models that do a very good job of predicting storm creation. And so that is called the science of attribution.
