We have these cliches to remind us of mistakes that we make. Tim says instead of asking yourself what this is cost you until now, it's good to ask yourself what it's going to cost you from now on. The other cognitive bias is the status quo bias, which is exactly what it sounds like. It's when we start to feel like we're in the wrong relationship or the wrong job and often we stick with the status quo because in the short term, it's easier. We forget that staying or leaving are actually both decisions and instead we go for the more passive one.
