Jeff wanted to know how sure scientists are that stuff labeled climate change isn't just the variable weather we've always had. The science on this is incredibly robust tested by thousands of scientists and even officially agreed upon by every UN member state through the IPCC report. There's even an emerging field of research, attribution science which takes individual weather events like a flood or a drought and looks at the likelihood of it being the result of climate change or it just being weather. But I'd argue that knowing the part our species played in causing the problem is useful for many reasons.
