The Importance of Women in Ministry at Saddleback

In May of 2021, the elders and pastor Rick made a decision together to begin the process of endorsing women as pastors. And then from that point, um, not much more movement happened in this conversation. Andy took over as the lead pastor, but was kind of left to create a pathway forward for all of the women on staff. Many women who have been called ministers for quite some time have been serving in ministry, um, fulfilling the roles of pastor, but not called a pastor.
