We might be tempted to deny consciousness or agentic freedom except for the fact that we feel like we have it, and it seems fundamental to our prience. So this is why we have to be open to something that seems at odds with, or at least completely unexplained by our current scientific understanding. You know, if there is just enough of a these experiences and enough testimony to these experiences, or if you have one of these experiences yourself, its like i think you would want to believe in them too.
