Grid Forming Inverters - What's the Potential?

We think grid forming inverters have great potential, but we also need to do the work to understand what they can actually do. It isn't really inertia that's the key variable is it? I mean inertia is a way of maintaining frequency. We don't know the answer to that yet. And so these are the things that we're going to need to take into account in as we think about this shift on a daily cycle from some more synchronous less invertebased to more invertebased less synchronous.
