The Great British Tomato Crisis
Tomatoes are in short supply across the UK. Supermarket shelves are empty, heated glasshouses are empty because they're too expensive to run. Fresh produce is being rationed and we're being warned that it will take weeks before we can put a salad together again. People are blaming frost in Morocco, soaring energy costs, inflation, the impact of Brexit. And you've got a government which seems to be standing paralyzed on a number of issues. It just feels like an epic moment of national failure again.
