The Origins of One Enoch

Shwepp: What we seem to be looking at is a body of texts, and the one thing they have in common is that they're all somehow Enochic. Shwepp: Let's reconstruct how the text was put together. We think it was already assembled into the Book of One Enoch before this translation process took place. It also may have been circulating as a single work in Aramaic. The process of assembly cannot have taken place before the first century CE.
