The Vision of Black Elk
The medicine man who doctored Black Elk acquired prestige for bringing him back from near death. At the end of the vision, Black Elk returned to his family's home and looked down to see himself lying on the ground as a little boy. The battle was known among the Lakota as the Battle of the Greasy Grass; it became famous in Anglo society as Custer's Last Stand.
