Are you being mean but don't mean to be?

Is Your Boyfriend's Best Friend Looking Out for You?
When you focus on yourself, not other people, when you're stopping being mean or hurting people, if you're changing, you're no longer focused on them. Because you want to heal. You don't want to be that person any more. In order for other people to feel safe around you, they have to trust that you are changing. And the only way they can see those changes is if you are really just focused on yourself. When you take that out of the equation and your cues on yourself, that gets noticed. That's exactly what would cause some one else to start to question that perhaps you are not the same person that you used to be - in a good way.
