Consciousness needs a complicated arrangement of atoms, right? I guess. But over my shoulder are a couple of conscious minds with no atoms. So hear me out: What if, instead of a complicated arrangements of atoms, it's an arrangement of waves? You put your frozen burrito in a microwave and only have the micro-wave coming from one direction; what happens? Nothing. Multiple microwave emissions from multiple points all crossing each other at the point of your burrito, and what do you get?
