The Origins of Stonehenge

In prehistoric Britain, a lot of land is wooded. And that's not great for setting up early farming places. But you get these patches of kind of prairie lands, if you like. These were easier to hunt in because they were the migratory patterns of large oryx. They became actually quite useful places for the early farmers to be kind of hanging around in as it's easier to work the land. That's the way I tend to look at sites of significance and sacred element going back into the past.
