LZ Granderson: What do you think about lack of fear of death in improving relationships, creating healthier friendships? LZ: I just lost my father last week. He was 90 and he was ready to go. So it's not a trauma, but my conversations with him in the last year or so when he was obviously aware of the approach of death were extremely warm and gratifying because he was willing to talk about his feelings about dying. Our culture tends to banish those kinds of conversations.
