The Bias in Decision Making Systems
We are seeing so many cases where training data sets that have been the trientrud standard are now being taken off the shelf because there are too many errors and too few theories to understand them. What's the value of looking for the bias, verses setting up rails for where we apply a decision making system in the first place? i do think it's useful and valuable for people to look at bias and try and reduce it. And also, that's not the beal and end all. At the algarithmic justice league, we are really trying to get people to shift the conversation from bias to harm.
