Don't do a Big Bang release, they're going to migrate it all one go. I'd always suggest before even barking on that, you do an audit that's used. Find out what's out there, find out your cold data. And by the time you've migrated across to the company's move or the requirements have moved and what you've migrated, it isn't the right thing. The other thing is a data modeling being a lost art as well of understanding your enterprise data model. Having that ownership adds so much more value because people care about it.
