This is Sorrow Conquers Happiness from the work Bow to String. This is a version for solo cello and then just lots of overdubbed cello. The performer is Sian Thorstein's daughter, who is amazing,. And I love this piece. It goes in so many different places. Every little twist and turn feels inevitable, yet surprising. To achieve that sort of perfect combination of that is really skillful.
