The Chupacabra and the History of Blood Related Folklore in Latin America

There is a theory out there where the Chupacabra is not necessarily a cryptid as we would know them like the Sasquatch. There's also obviously the longstanding history of blood related folklore in this area of the world. White Europeans and Americans have a long tradition of evading Latin American countries, taking their natural resources, lifeblood and leaving nothing behind. They're always a metaphor or a story for something else that spins out of control and then get to life of its own.
