In the 19 sixties, in a broad based and comprehensive crackdown on the moslem brotherhood. Andto this period, through the late 19 sixties into the early seventies, the brotherhood is effectively neutralized. Its its its it gets removed from egyptian society as a political force when it then re emerges in the 19 70s. But there were still quite a few followers of sidotu around even if they had been driven underground. They then broke away and renounced ties to this kind of main stream centre block within the brotherhood.
