Is It Necessary That a Thing Die in Order for It to Produce?
I grew up thinking about that in very arbitrary terms. And now I'm starting to think of it in more principled terms where it's like, no, in order for anything to change, it has to die to what it was and resurrect to something new. Christ even talks about this pretty explicitly, right? He says, you know, unless the seed falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. So when you really start meditating on a tree and everything there is about trees, you just learn all sorts of things about yourself and how the universe works.
