Are You a White Person With an Arm Band?

In the late 80s, early 90s, the Republicans tried to do this with what they call a ballot security team. They just literally gave white people arm bands and said, this is our ballot securityTeam. And instead of challenging votes to election officials, they could just walk up to people and say, I want to see your ID. A lot of immigrants were scared even if they weren't technically in the country illegally and didn't vote. The NAACP sued the Republican National Committee and a federal judge stopped the GOP from actually sending any kind of people to the polls to examine or question voters.
