The Inextricable Role of the State Within Capitalism
Venezuela has asserted its national control over those oil reserves and said that that oil belongs to the people of Venezuela it is state property. The far right in Argentina has this libertarian narrative of this kind of peanut-shaped style politics where simultaneously they're advocating a hyper-militarization of the punitive apparatus of the state. They're insisting that we should free all markets limit all state intervention in the economy but you've pointed out that for the entire history of capitalism it has been a history in which the state has played an important role in helping to basically prevent the system from destroying itself.
