At one point, she let missus warrell know that the clothes she'd been wearing in england were not what she was used to wearing. So she designed a new outfit for herself. She wore peacock feathers on the side of her head, and on her feet, sandals without any stockings. And te there's a portrait of her made in that costume, which was commissioned by missus Warrell  of the most eminent artist in bristol.
