George schwartz was part of a group in charge of categorizing the left behind valuables of jews that were put on trains and sent to camps. He worked with his godfather, who wasn't technically related to him, but deemed him his godfather,. And helped his family switch their identities around, so that they weren't jews or christians. So he was a jew pretending to not be a jew, while taking all the possessions of the jews that had been rounded up by the Nazis. "A man like this should rightly have sent you to the psychiatrist's couch for a while," says Caundry.
