The Unusualness of Doing Things on Your Own
The Independent published two pieces taking different stances on doing activities solo in recent days. So should we be kinder about doing things alone or is the fact that it's deemed unusual an issue in and of itself? Do you think it's strange that just doing something on your own becomes a talking point now? Yeah, very much so. I'm in this weird space where I simultaneously think that going to the cinema, going to the theatre, going for dinner on your own is an absolutely fine thing to do. But also we don't have to make it empowering. It can just be a thing that you like to do.
