The War Between France and the United States

The peace process will take just about two years to complete, from the moment cornwallis surrendered at yorktown to the final final signing ceremony in september 17 83. The commission was hamstrung immediately by congress's instructions that they consult with the french every step of the way and follow french advice. Even franklin, a major frankofile, could see how crazy this order was. France and america were allies, but that did not mean their interests were perfectly aligned. What was good for france might not be good for America.
