Mary Dire's Hanging

Mary dire was hanged on June 1 1660 at the age of about 49. Some modern sources say she was hanged from a tree on Boston common known as the Great Elm, but it's not totally clear whether that tree had been planted yet in 1660. It is tricky to say for sure because written accounts from these events at the time say things like the place of execution without offering any detail about where that place of execution was.
