Do We Really Need Derogations?
A number of states are taking measures that would otherwise be inconsistent with their human right obligation. This is in what we call called derogations, which are permitted in circumstances where thereis a state of emergency. Freedom of embly is is restricted and you have possible er violations of the rights to privacy. And so the question that arises is, you know, does the ordinary application of human rights law prevent our attempts to fight this disease and virus?
