First digital camera, meaning you got them around 98, 99. Around this time, we didn't have a world where huge swathes of people were carrying around cameras in their pockets with built-in GPS locators. They included this little line in the metadata description that allows you to store that location data. And to them, it probably made a lot of sense because it can be used for so many good things.
