The Shift in Focus Between Normal Republicans and Elite Republicans
Among elites you just get more extreme views of all kinds. The distribution of opinion is a stretched among the elite. I don't think your Times wants to go and see Jeff Bezos dead or anything like that. I think they would like to see him cut down to size. It's not like it's not like elite Republicans are suddenly, you know, like pro leftist either. Like it's the shift in focus.
