Pregnancy, Is It a Workplace Accident?
i don't regret being asked going back to the idea of an unwonted pregnancy as forced labor. There's a sort of, you know, a real naturalization of all kinds of reproductive work under capitalismd probably also beyond capitalism to an extent. Anywhere where we are pregnant, we are in a sort of gestation or work place. These stories about what is and isn't work go very deep. They're unconscious. And so it doesn't resemble many other forms of work. Although i'd argue that there are points of comparison with other Forms of Work. You can perhaps think of forms of work that are difficult to simply stop - such as wire-shredding on production lines
