The Evolution of Addiction
There's this age old question that we've hinted at thus far, which is, is addiction a disease or is it a choice? I think my definition would be something more. It's a disorder of choice. And then, of course, you cannot say it's a choice in itself. I think there is obviously a dysfunctional element. So what's the evidence and how many behavioral addictions should we be thinking about? Yeah, now that's an excellent question. We'll get into decision-making and other cognitive aspects in a few minutes.
