The Cost of a Cop Pulling the Trigger in a Mass Shooting
Judge: If we want to stop mas shooting, we should stop punishing police officers who put their lives on the line to prevent them. The cost of an officer pulling the trigger in this sort of case is usually that one person dies. It could also be that the guy really was a bad guy, and by not pulling the trigger, they sentence like, you know, however many children to death.
